Inetglobal Update and this blogs future

Inetglobal Update and this blogs future

I thought it is time to update this blog a bit with the newest developments in the Inetglobal case. Or should I say cases? As for those who are new to this blog and don’t know what I am speaking about, you can read up on my opinion about Inetglobal and then continue the story with how Inetglobal is trying to sue me.

So, todays blog post has two facets; one about the developments in my own “battle” with Inetglobal and one about how the investigation of Inetglobal develops in the USA.

As for my own case, I have finished writing my answer to their “Summons and Complaint” and got it signed, stamped, affidavit, notarized, served etc last week. Obviously it would be unwise to divulge here in public what I wrote and how I argued my case. But I think it is safe to say a big

THANK YOU!

to everybody that helped me online and offline with this task. I received a lot of moral and practical support from a lot of people. Some of them I knew beforehand, some of them I have just become friends with. Again, thank you to all of you ;-) you know who you are.

What happens next?

Inetglobal and its attorney have now to make the decision, if they want to file their papers with the court. If they don’t, this case stops here. If they do, I will have to file my answer and a judge will be assigned to the case and take it from there. So, lets see what happens – patience is a virtue!

As for the investigation against Inetglobal

This has had its first hearing before Judge Donovan W Frank. You can read the full story here: Steve Renner Court Hearing , to summarize it:

  • Steve Renner (the owner of Inetglobal) remains free for the moment, but is required to wear a GPS tracking device.
  • Inetglobal funds remain frozen, but it might be considered to free some of them in order to enable payment of employees wages and health insurance. No decision has been made about this so far.

What will happen now?

As I understand it, Steven Renner is facing sentencing (up to a maximum of 5 years in prison) because of tax evasion. I couldn’t find clear information, or a reliable source, that states if he is appealing against that conviction or not. If he is appealing, there will be most likely more court hearings. If he is merely awaiting sentencing, then that will happen whenever the court in question “gets around” to his case.

As for the investigation currently under way by the FBI et al regarding if Inetglobal is a Ponzi / Pyramid scheme or not, this will take time. Time because all the material confiscated in the raid at Inetglobal 23rd February 2010 needs to be evaluated and people need to be interviewed. My knowledge about the US-American law system is limited, but I am sure charges will be made when the investigating authorities have found enough evidence against Inetglobal.

So, also in this case, patience is needed until the next party makes the next move ;-)

As for the further direction of this blog

There seems to be a big need for basic information about “how the making money online part of the internet works”. And no, I don’t mean with that advanced SEO techniques and expensive membership sites and products. I mean free, basic information about how to make money online for free. So, I hope to concentrate my hyperactive brain long enough over the coming months to outline the very basics in this field where so many people try to rip others off. I might even write a -free!- ebook about it.

  • So, what kind of information are you looking for?
  • Where do you have questions?
  • What parts of the “making money online” business puzzles you?
  • What do you want to know?

I don’t pretend to have all the answers, but I will do my best to find the right information for you.

For a start, and in the tradition of “Pay it forward SEO”, here a bit of sound internet marketing information and make money online tips. Have a good look at the following two blogs:

Lissie from Passive Income writes about the importance of long tail keywords and Allyn from Blogger Illustrated has a great series going about links and link building. Start with his first blog post of the series aptly entitled “Everything you need to know about backlinks” and continue from there. If you take the time to digest the information provided by these two – and to apply it!- you are off to a good start in having success with your internet business!

See you – and don’t forget to leave a comment ;-)

      PS I am a SIS ;-)

  • It’s good to see that you are sharing some details here. I am tired ‘make money online’ blogs that just preach ways of making money without any human connection. All the best for your case.

I followed Allyn Hane’s video blog link, interesting guy indeed, I will spend some more time reading his blog. Here are some questions that I have in mind.

    1. How exactly can I go about marketing my products to a ‘list’. I don’t have a list. What kind of freebies can I give so that I get some potential buyers interested in my products? I am sure it would depend on the type of business.

    2. Once I have a ‘list’ how do I ensure my emails don’t land up in spam folders?

    • hospitalera

Hi Adam, interesting questions you pose ;-)
Let me give you my take on them, others might differ in their opinion.
For me “list” means simply “recurring readers / customers”. I don’t believe in the classical email list approach. You are right, emails send to those lists land more often then not in the spam folder. List for me means the people that have subscribed to this blog, my twitter account, are facebook friends etc. So each time I publish a new blog post, I reach people on this “lists”. So, that is for this blog.

What about niche markets? Now there a classical email list or a separate twitter account / Facebook page etc might come in useful ;-) Lets take the business you are in “Kitchen worktops and laminate flooring” I don’t think you get so many recurring business, people don’t tend to change their kitchen every few weeks ;-) So for you good old fashioned link building is paramount to attract buyers via search engine traffic.

Lets take another example, lets say your business is about “dog toys”, now there you could build a list easily by providing information about “playing with your dog”. For example a free ebook “How intelligent is your pooch? – Find it out with this ebook” would go down a storm with dog owners. They give you their email address in return (including a double opt-in for newsletter updates!). Now you have the start of a list, what you never should do is to try to “hard sell” anything to your list. You want to build up trust by adding value to their lives as dog owners. So, you would email newsletters regularly, but not too, often that provides information about things dog owners want to know. And from time to time, you add an article to this newsletter show casting a new dog toy. The more information value your newsletter has for your customers, the less likely they are to delete it. And the more likely they are to remember your site when they want to buy a new dog toy. Just my 2 cents, SY

  • Dana from Blogging Update

So it mean that i still need to wait for final resolution of you and inetglobal. I hope it will resolve soon. :D

Hi guy,I support iNetGlobal! It’s a great idea of USA. It’s a American Dream!Dont talk too much about others!Go iNetGlobal Go!!!

    • hospitalera

Rich, are you for real? Haven’t you followed the news lately? Inetglobals bank accounts have been frozen by the court, its owner is wearing a GPS traffic device by order of a judge and is awaiting sentencing for tax evasion. He faces up to 5 years in prison.
And all this without taking in account the outcome of the current FBI investigation and the possibly resulting charges against Inetglobal and Steven Renner. SY

  • jessica

{Double Comment, removed by blog owner}, SY

  • Rich

Hi guy,Steve Renner is not the CEO of iNetGlobal. You don’t know. I tell you now! This is USA.Great Country!

  • Rich

I mean if Steve Renner is wrong, but iNetGlobal is right. iNetGlobal will be still there!!!

    • hospitalera

Rich, Steve Renner OWNS Inetglobal. Look at his own web site and his linkedin profile http://www.linkedin.com/in/steverenner where he clearly states “Founder and Marketing Director of iNetGlobal”. You can’t separate the two easily, unless he would sell Inetglobal and I doubt anybody can or wants to buy a company that is under investigation ;-) SY

  • I am so much worried what will happen now? I enjoyed working everyday with Inetglobal and suddenly I heard this bad news. I borrowed money to invest with this company and did not put a cent yet in my pocket. Please inform me what is next? Thanks.

I am very sorry to hear this. Where do you live? Which country? What you should do is to inform your credit card company immediately, assuming you paid by credit card, and also the relevant authorities in your country. Hope that helps, SY

  • Bruce

I’m posting my message everywhere, On every blog, on every thread, on every webpage I can find… So no one else will get scammed like me and my friend and my family and my room mates… And all my downlines…

DO NOT JOIN INETGLOBAL!!! DO NOT JOIN INETGLOBAL!!!! DO NOT JOIN INETGLOBAL!!!!!

It’s a scam, 100%!!!! I wish I never joined them. When me and my friend first joined, we were promised big bucks for just clicking on a few ads a day. At least $8 US minimum, plus whatever our downlines click. You know how much we are getting a day? Take a wild guess!!!! $1 to $2 a day, plus we have to pay back $40 per month from their stupid automated repurchasing plan!!!!! That means we make pretty much $0 dollars a month!!!!

Inetglobal is B.S. I hope they’re found guilty. It’s been 4 months now, And I have not received my V-Cash card, nor have I seen a single penny. 4 MONTHS ok??!!!! How long does it take to send something from the states? A week or 2? What a waste of my $2060. I hope that Steve Renner guy rots in jail because that’s where he belongs. I just hope the FBI will use the money they froze from his account to pay us something back.

    • Doc

Hey Bruce, Don’t fprgt that the ipayments that iNetGlobal gives you on a daily basis is based on many factors, including the days total sales. You were getting more than that before iNetGlobal was raided…. Speak the truth. I know I was, but I know the iNetGlobal System and I understand it in and out. Bruce, you just wanted to build a downline and did nothing else.

      • LG

Maybe it’s good idea for you, Doc, tell us how have you really made money with iNetGlobal other than building up downline like those upline who have been claimed “over 100K per month”.

        • hospitalera

Yes, I would be also interested in seeing that! Whenever I ask Inetglobal supporters to tell me / us how they make money with Inetglobal apart of building a strong down line I never got an answer! SY

  • I’ve been a quite reader on your INETGLOBAL case, and I am sure these bad times will go off or may have gone? Anyways, I believe your plan for converting this blog into a useful source of information for newbies about how to earn money online is a great one. There are always blogs who start up with the intention of earning through a blog but go down because they direct their efforts in a wrong way, or their strategies are poor when it comes to earning online.

They need a good guide but many want to make money off them. So I think it’s gonna help everyone a lot and your reputation will definitely give them credibility hehe ;) Best of Luck.

  • This reminds me of a case against Blogger Vlad Zablotskyy. He was sued by E-perks because of what he wrote about them on his blog. They actually sued him for some of the COMMENTS left by others. Fortunately for Vlad it was resolved but not without hassle and expense.

It was a similar situation, a bad guy throwing his weight around, trying to extort money via a lawsuit. A legitimate company has better things to do than go after a blog based in a different county.

Now, this is really a case now, you have to face it now.

  • Michael

can you recommend good sites that can promote products through online marketing. I work for a telecom company and we will be launching our own pre-paid phone cards and with true minutes and not with all the tricks of the other ones out there and i was looking for reputable online marketers that can get our product out there because we pay our 25% commission for every $2-$5-$10 cards we sell. we are finishing our online platform but i like to do some heavy internet marketing and anything that makes sense we can also private label this which is no problem at all. looking for help, funny because after the inet global ad in Inc mag i was interested in using this and i have actually met steve in NYC at one of there events. But after reading this i have my doubts but we are still looking for the most cost effective way of getting this done.

    any help will be appreciated

  • I have a similar question to Michael’s. Beyond the normal GDS/IDS options, anyone have any ideas of how to sell hotel rooms online?
