For this reason, any content that you put out on the Internet will be seen as valuable in the eyes of Google, thus creating a link back to your website to potentially increase your rankings.

Of course, it is not always as simple as that. If you want to use article marketing for your website, it is important that your content is of value. Yes, it is incredibly easy to promote fluff content online, which is only for the purpose of filling up space on a page to get a link. While this may give you a link back to your website, you will see serious results if you are actually writing articles that are worthwhile. Instead of simply having one link from Ezine or another article directory, valuable articles will be picked up or linked back to from other websites. This is your opportunity to see even greater benefits than simply getting one single link from an article that you have posted.

On top of that, if you are providing valuable content, people will begin to see you as an expert. For example, if someone is wondering about which skin care ingredients are best for their complexion, they may find your article about the same topic. When they read the article and are impressed by the information, they can click on your link in the resource box to visit your website to purchase products. It really will work if you put value in the articles that you are writing!

If you feel comfortable writing your own articles, that would be your opportunity to save on labor. However, if you are intimidated by the task, you can easily hire freelancers to do this for you. Just make sure that this is quality content!

Because of the economic downturn that has affected virtually every corner of the globe, people are turning to the Internet in droves to make money without a financial investment. While that development may be bad for people who sell tools and services specifically geared to new Internet marketers, it’s good for venues that offer opportunities to make money with no money. One of those is HubPages, a group blogging site that shares revenues with the people who write for them. They offer the ability to make money from the following:

• Google AdSense ads
• Kontera contextual ads
• Amazon product links
• eBay
• Any affiliate program you can think of, unless it’s for a gambling or pornographic site or product

HubPages offers a slightly better deal for authors than similar sites: you get 60 percent and they get 40 percent. But those percentages aren’t divided up in the way most people would expect; you get 60 percent of the impressions, not the revenue. An impression takes place every time someone visits one of your hubs and revenue results. For example, 60 out of 100 visitors will be credited to you, and if any of them click on Google or Kontera ads, buy an Amazon product or generate eBay revenue, 100 percent of that money will be yours. The other 40 out of 100 visitors will be credited to HubPages and they’ll get any revenue that results from those visitors. There is one nice exception to this, however; you get 100 percent of the revenue from any affiliate programs outside of the standard four sanctioned by HubPages — 100 percent of the time. I use HubPages to promote several affiliate programs, including TweetAdder Twitter software. Because I happen to use that software and like it, I used HubPages to write a review that carries my affiliate link.  In the case of other affiliate programs, I just incorporate affiliate links into related posts that aren’t necessarily dedicated to the affiliate program’s topic. There’s a lot of flexibility to do whatever you want, as long as you don’t run afoul of the HubPages rules.

Because of my overwhelmingly positive experience with HubPages over the last two years, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to people who are new to Internet marketing. They may eventually find they’ll want to spend money on services that will help improve their HubPages revenues, but they can definitely start without spending a dime and make money if they devote some time to it.
