OK, before I go back to writing key word targeted, optimized, seo friendly, money making blog posts, here a bit of a blog update.
Blogger Forum
After a bit of discussion on a previous post, I decided to add a blogger board to my existing forum at. This forum is mainly geared towards people that sell images on so-called microstock sites. So if you are interested in participating in the new blogger board please register normally at the forum, wait until your account gets approved and start posting! I would like it to be an additional resource for bloggers and a place where bloggers can network with each other. I have only set up two boards, more can be added when the need arises 
If it works, great, if there is no need/ demand for it, also great
Questions without answers
Yep, I know, there are still open questions in comments to some of my posts that are in need of being answered in post form. I hope to do this before the week-end is over I do appreciate all comments and questions as these do help me to write content my readers are actually interested in! So please, keep them coming, I will catch up with you, I promise. I also got some more lined up that I got via my twitter account, so enough material for me to write about, how many hours the day has, you said? Only 27h?
World Blog Surf Day
I originally planned to run the second WBSD from this blog, but it seems that this blog develops in something distinctive from a traditional expat blog. So I am in contact with a true expat blogger that has agreed to take over the task of organising it. As soon as I have more details I will post about it
Comment, moderation and key word luv
Comment here are now dofollow and you can even insert your keywords, to get nicely targeted back links for your site. BUT I am still moderating comments. So if I don’t know you and you post only two word comment like ‘great blog’ and than put in a link to a site that reads ‘how to become an internet millionaire in one week’, sorry guy or gal, your chances to get such a comment approved are very, very, very slim! Everybody else, especially my regular readers, enjoy the new feature, it is for you

A ‘blogger forum’ should probably also include discussions about popular blogging platforms, blogging plug-ins, designs, and a forum for requesting guest posts. What do you say?

Just go to the respective forum board and start a thread about whatever interests you/ questions/ suggestions as long as it is related to blogging (at least loosely). It doesn’t make any sense to create a lot of boards and leave them empty and/ or start to talk with myself. I can always create more boards when the need arises
Got that, most of the times I respond to posts, I rarely start any threads in forums
) But let me join it anyway.

I like to have a bit of fun with my keyword optimized posts – I guess I will never manage to keep my blog on topic at this rate! I will have to go the route of optimizing separate blogs posts I think – it means you can go off topic when required! Lissie

‘I will have to go the route of optimizing separate blogs posts I think’ Hear, Hear! That is the idea for this blog also. How to make out of each blog post a mini article and by applying the niche internet marketing principles to a personal/ sociable post having fun and earning money.

I hope you’ll still participate in World Blog Surf Day as it was a fun venture. I’ve been taking a break from blogging for a bit (still kind of distrubed by the hullaboo at Today) and re-evaluating it all, but I know I do enjoy doing it.

hahaha don’t you love the spam comments that you get with keyword luv? I love the plug-in because it rewards commenters for what they’ve contributed, but you still get lame comments with no effort like “great post”!
Eh, no I don’t love spam comments and I am editing even the “relevant” comments if they try to point to a dodgy site

Got any plans to extend the forum into other areas (or even create a second forum)? I’ve been reading some of your SEO posts for a while now and the blog would be a good place for people to share ideas/tips (sitepoint is just overloaded with people trying to sell you crappy links now).

The forum here is pretty quite, to say the least, but yes, there are plans for something new, community related after I am back from holidays / vacations end of October, so sign up to my rss-feed or email to not miss the news

On that note, once you get back and decide on a new direction for the forum I’d say the least us readers could do is to give you some decent backlinks to give it a boost. I’ve got 5 blogs ranging from PR 1 – 4 so let me know and I’ll knock up an article with a front page link plus a deep link to the forums.

I keep thinking about making my blog dofollow. You do a good job at moderating. So many do follow blogs end up spammed to heck and look ugly. I keep thinking about a forum too, like yours. Don’t think I’ve got enough visitors though for one yet. How many visitors do you think you need for a forum?
Regarding comment spam, I use a captcha now and it really makes a difference. I installed it as I woke up one morning to 250+ spam comments
As for the forum, as you can see, it is pretty dead and I am actually planing to remove it completely. Perhaps I will install a new one later that year, but at the moment, I see the comment section of my blog more and more as the forum part
